Padrig is a character found in Ooblets (game).

Location

Padrig resides in Badgetown, and can often be found in his shop, Snups. However, early in the morning and at night, he can be found in front of Town Hall instead.

Appearance

Padrig has styled brown hair, swooping upwards and to the left in a quiff. His salmon & purple gingham button-up shirt is accented by a purple bow-tie. He wears dark slacks with a cuff at the bottom.

Personality

Right from the get-go, Padrig is shown to be anxious and socially awkward. He struggles to talk to people, and when he is spoken to, he often struggles to reply without blundering. Despite being the local hairdresser, he struggles to execute the unique hairdos he comes up with as he is afraid of messing up.^[1][2] Alongside this, he is extremely apologetic for his social ineptitude, apologizing every other sentence. This anxiety seeps into nearly every aspect of his life; He is avoidant when it comes to conflict, very aware of his own appearance, and overly-worried when it comes to how others perceive him. On several occasions, he states that his job as the town's hairdresser is the only reason why he manages to interact with others.

Interactions

Story

Though Padrig will not be around when the Player first arrives in Badgetown, he can be found in his store starting from the Player's second day. The Player will be the first one to introduce themselves,^[3] with Padrig introducing himself soon after as the owner of Snups, Badgetown's hair salon/barber shop. The second time the Player interacts with him, he will re-introduce himself, thinking that the Player doesn't remember him.^[4] He will also send the Player a letter to welcome them to town rather than coming to see them in person.^[5]
