The in-game announcement summary for the 2024 Spring Event update (v1.4.42)
The Ooblets Spring Event occurs in Badgetown starting in mid-April and lasts until the end of May.
During the event, the game's colors have been tweaked to "make the game look more Springy!" (The colors will go back to normal after the event ends.)
Petals
During the event, colored Petals will spawn on the ground all over Badgetown that the player can pick up at the cost of 3 energy. The Petals come in 3 different colors: Yellow, Pink, and White.
The different colors appear at different rates, with Yellow being the most common, Pink being less common, and White being the rarest. Each time you pick them up off the ground, you will receive multiple Petals of that color. How many you acquire from each pile is semi-random; each color has a different range:
- Yellow: 3-10
- Pink: 3-7
- White: 3-5
The Petals can be used to craft prizes at the display in town.

A tip for acquiring more Petals: Bibbin's "Flora Flip" move will respawn Petals if used in Badgetown.

Spring Event display 2023
In the middle of Badgetown, the Player can find a display they can interact with. Interacting with the display will show the Player in a new style of crafting interface behind the table. The player will stand behind one crafting station at a time, so the screen will only show a single item that can be crafted at that station. By moving left and right, the Player can move to different stations at the tables to change which item they can craft.
There are 4 crafting stations at the tables. The front table has 3 stations for assembling the 3 different tiers of Glimmyglobes. Once you enter the interface, you can press left and right to move between the stations. If you keep moving past the leftmost or rightmost crafting station at the front table, the Player will move to the back table where they can assemble Bounce Salads. Moving left or right while at the back table will move the Player up to the front table again.
Glimmyglobes
What are Glimmyglobes? Quoting directly from the in-game event description: "It's what petals are used for! They're like snowglobes but with petals instead of snow. There are 21 main varieties and a total of 459 ooblet-variations you can make. You don't need to make them all!"
Glimmyglobes are trinkets you can use to show off your favorite Ooblet figurines in a beautiful display. They can be placed on tables and shelves just like other trinkets. You can also view them up close and shake them by opening your inventory, selecting one, and choosing "View."
There are 3 different tiers of Glimmyglobe that can be crafted at the table in Badgetown: Basic, Fancy, and Exquisite. To assemble a Glimmyglobe, you must spend 1 Ooblet figurine plus the required Nurnies and Petals. The different tiers require increasing amounts of Nurnies and a different color of Petals.
| Basic Glimmyglobe | Fancy Glimmyglobe | Exquisite Glimmyglobe |
|---|---|---|
|
|
|
| 1x Any Figurine 3x Nurny 10x Yellow Petal |
1x Any Figurine 6x Nurny 10x Pink Petal |
1x Any Figurine 9x Nurny 10x White Petal |
Each region has a unique shape and style for each tier of Glimmyglobe, and the home region of the Ooblet figurine you use while assembling it will determine which regional variant of Glimmyglobe is created. With 7 different regions and 3 different tiers, that makes a total of 21 different unique shapes and styles available to create.
New Clothing and Decor
There are 12 "Glimmyglobe Prizes," which are new items that can be unlocked during the Spring Event. There are 8 clothing items and 4 wallpapers. Each time you assemble a Glimmyglobe of any type, you will randomly receive one of these 12 items that you don't already have. Once you acquire all 12 items, you will no longer gain anything extra after assembling a Glimmyglobe.

A Nooblet! (New Ooblet)
Common Taterflop figurine
A new Ooblet (or nooblet) was released as part of this event update. This is the first new Ooblet to be introduced into the game since the official 1.0 launch.
The new Ooblet is called Taterflop, and it is found in Badgetown. 1 Bounce Salad is required to start a dance battle with Taterflop.
According to the in-game event summary, "They'll only be around for the duration of the Spring Event, but will also be back for next year's!" So be sure to get your Taterflops before the event is over at the end of May!
